Biindigen Healing and Arts is a grassroots Organization in Southern Ontario that serves over 14000 self identified FNMI people in York Region with no ties to any land base or local community in the Region as well as Durham, Kawarthas and Simcoe County.
The role of Biindigen healing and Arts is to provide culturally appropriate and culturally sensitive Indigenous programming encompassing areas of Traditional Art forms and Traditional teachings to provide advocacy in areas of Health, Social Justice, Healthy Living and the importance of Traditional Healing methods and practices in day to day life. We most notably can consult with non native agencies whose mandate is to engage FNMI community members and develop our members to navigate and have access to services currently in place in many local organizations.
