DarkRide

Their music resides in a zone of its own. Cool mesmerizing grooves. Words that paint a scene that stays with you. The intensity of a lullaby, the understated undertow of a midnight tide. Their songs invite the listener to tune in, chill out, then regroup for another round in the ring. Toronto based producer/multi-instrumentalist Rein Vares  and vocalist/lyricist/guitarist Derek Christie have collaborated under the DarkRide moniker since 1994. They initially met up in the city’s Queen Street West music scene in the mid 80’s as members of the band Conditioned Response. Now, with their seventh release, their sound continues to evolve.
