M’Ah Bang

A collision of ideas, creativity and new beginnings. A Toronto area based collaboration between Mayday Music members Derek Christie and Jon James, Persian Canadian musician Sina Momtahan and brilliantfish. Their music merges Western rock and traditional Persian musical flavours and instruments. The project name is a slightly anglicized play on words, with the original meaning ‘Big Bang’ in Farsi. Their first song, ‘Worlds Away’ is an expression of solidarity from the Canadian Iranian diaspora and its allies with those fighting for change back home. Stay tuned for more…
