The Flailing Shilaleighs

The Flailing Shilaleighs band started in 2016. All four original members were performing in an Elvis tribute band named Wreckroom Elvis. They were sitting around one night pondering how they might get more gigs, and the idea to do celtic music was suggested. When a set list of 50 celtic songs was originally proposed, drummer, Antti Patjas responded in an email with: “Holy flailing shilaleighs, that’s a lot of songs.” It was at that moment that the band name came to be. The Flailing Shilaleighs are a high energy celtic band specializing in East Coast and Irish music, plus upbeat original songs written by brothers Anthony and Russ Clayton.
